Max is currently a senior in the Center for Leadership, Government, and Global Economics at Freeman High School, and is ecstatic to be your Secretary General. He aims to model a traditional conference, while improving and modernizing the outdated aspects, to ultimately create an exciting and realistic UN experience. Max has been actively involved in MUN for five years, and has won a variety of awards. With a passion for advocacy, he volunteers as much as he can with organizations that make a difference such as TEDxRVA, the Science Museum of Virginia, ImPACT Virginia, and the Virginia State Police. Max enjoys playing the piano, hiking in the Rockies, tinkering with technology, and learning in his free time.
Apurv Shah will be the Director General for this year's SIMUNC. He is a senior at Godwin High School and is in the center for Medical Sciences. Apurv has participated in MUN activities since 8th grade and hopes to continue for the rest of high school. Outside of school, he enjoys playing tennis for Godwin and playing the piano. His goal for this conference is to make SIMUNC as interesting and fun as possible and he hopes you all enjoy your experience!
Chief of Staff & Policy
Hirak Shah is a junior in the International Baccalaureate Program at Henrico High School and is thrilled to be your Chief of Staff and Policy. Hirak has attended a multitude of conferences such as VAMUN, GSMUN, and WMC. He hopes to take SIMUNC to new heights through creating an intense atmosphere to spark innovative and creative debate. He greatly enjoys Model UN, Model Congress, and debate because he feels as though it is a great way to test his skills as a delegate, but also forge long lasting friendships with others. Along with these very political oriented interests, he also enjoys playing tennis and basketball, running, and solving technical issues in the Technology Student Association. However, he also enjoys a nice day indoors watching movies and Sherlock. As the Chief of Staff and Policy, he hopes to see all of you engaging in fierce debate, but more importantly, learning and having fun.
Director of General
Paul Sabharwal is a senior at Douglas Freeman High School. He has successfully attended several Model UN conferences in the past as well as chaired at SIMUNC I, and looks forward to making SIMUNC II even more of a success. Paul also enjoys running Cross Country at Freeman, playing soccer, reading, singing, playing the piano, arguing about pretty much anything, hiking, and annoying Max. He hopes to see fascinating debate and an excellent conference.
Director of Crisis
Spencer has been involved in Model United Nations for 2 ½ years and have quite a awards. He is excited to continue his involvement in Model UN as Director of Crisis Agencies this year. Outside of school, he builds and flys planes, works on drones, is a beekeeper, and rows for River City Crew. He has lived in the wonder city of Richmond for his entire life, but is ready for the colder environment of rural Vermont Mountains. He thanks all the secretariat, staff, and fellow chairs for making this event what it is.
Director of Crisis
Lovell Abraham is a junior at Henrico High School and is very excited to be your Crisis Director of SIMUNC II. He has had a long history of involvement in Model UN. He has been involved since 7th grade, and has a variety of experiences ranging from a chair, crisis staffer, delegate and now a secretariat member. Lovell has been a member of the Student Invitational Model UN Conference ever since its beginnings and plans to continue to be involved in it until he graduates, and hopes to help the conference achieve great things! Outside of Model UN, he likes to spend his time in various clubs such as TSA, Henrico Red Cross, Beta Club and as an officer of Model Congress. In his free time, he loves to lift weights, play basketball and read books.

McKenna Gillard is a senior at Godwin High School. She has been involved in Model UN for several years and co-chaired the Soviet-Afghan crisis committee in SIMUNC I. McKenna enjoys reading, working as an editor of the newspaper, and hiking in her spare time. As Director of Charitable Givings, McKenna is passionate about volunteering and helping others. She looks forward to an exciting and productive SIMUNC II!
Director of Logistics
Rachel Heo is a sophomore at Henrico High School and she is ecstatic to be your Director of Logistics at the 2nd annual SIMUNC! She has been involved in MUN since 8th grade and has attended conferences such as GSMUN, NAIMUN, and WMC. When she is not at a MUN or TSA meeting nor field hockey practice, she spends her time watching Criminal Minds on Netflix with a cup of coffee. She looks forward to meeting the delegates and the debate to come!

Yara Ibrahim is a senior at Godwin High School. She is in the Center for Medical Science at Godwin, so science is one of her interests. She enjoys studying languages and learning about international affairs which is why she is involved in Model UN and serves as vice president of the Godwin club. Other school extracurricular activities include writing as an editor for the newspaper. She chaired a committee for SIMUNC I and is excited to be involved in the conference for another year!
Divya Atluri has the utmost pride and enthusiasm in saying that she will be your Advisor for SIMUNC II. She is a freshman at Virginia Commonwealth University and has participated in Model United Nations for four years. In her free time, Divya enjoys playing tennis and field hockey and shops 24/7. Sometimes she even spares time to talk to her friends and family and maybe go to sleep. Divya is excited to make SIMUNC II an unforgettable experience for both the delegates and sponsors.
